Our preliminary amnio test results came back and indicated that Christian does NOT have one of the three most common fatal chromosomal defects (trisomy 13, 18 or 21). Although this does not change his prognosis from a medical standpoint (they still will not operate on him), it encourages us that since they were so convinced that's what it was and it wasn't, anything is possible. Christian gave me a few good kicks today to remind me he's still strong and so we will continue to be strong for him.
The next step with this is that the drs. will grow the chromosomes over the course of the next two weeks to see if any other rare disorders show up. Matt and I are still nervous that we could be dealing with a hereditary issue (that could recur in the future) so please pray for peace for that as we wait.
Thank you all for your prayers, love and support. We can feel them as tangibly as if you were here with us. Thank you for loving us and our precious son. We love you very much.
